In order to understand an art form it is essential to understand the history of it. It is essential to show respect to the roots of it. It is important to know the environment of that art form.. who developed its vocabulary... how it was performed, how it has evolved over time.. All this and more are very important in the practice of an art form.
More than anything it is essential to respect the families who had carried this within them for centuries.
Roots is a workshop and historical tour which addresses exactly this.
