Time Lapse is a piece which is a fusion of beats and tunes between something old and something new. Indian Classical dance and hip hop. If dance is a physical form of music then what would be the result of this dance fusion. Will the merging of two different worlds and two different times work?

This is the experiment I undertook through this dance video. Trying to bring together a dance style that originated in the streets of America and a dance style that is centuries old that was performed in temples and in front of kings and queens. Was there a common ground?

My curiosity in this space has lead me to experiment further through a section in the theatre production Journeys of Indian Classical Dancers  and it lead me to create yet another project, Battle of the Beats
